Just from the name Cut adapt shows that this tool cuts something that starts with adapt called adaptors in this case.

This is a bioinformatics tool that is used to find and remove adapter sequences, primers, poly-A tails and other types of unwanted sequence from your high-throughput sequencing reads.

The documentation: https://cutadapt.readthedocs.io/en/stable/

Cutadapt to install into python: https://pypi.org/project/cutadapt/1.4.1/

One can also practise this using actual data from previously published data on the web-based analysis tool, galaxy. The tutorial is based on transposon insertion sequence analysis.

Personally, I was able to upload data using links and files to the galaxy platform but I wasn’t able to get a report, Not sure why.

Tell me if yours works.
