Education and Knowledge:
- PhD degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, structural biology, biophysics, biology and computer science, or related discipline preferred.
- MS degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, structural biology, biophysics, biology and computer science, or related discipline plus at least 5 years industrial experience
- Familiar with molecular biology, biological pathways, and genomics
- Strong knowledge of current theories and principals of bioinformatics and computational biology
Experience:
- At least 3 years research and development experiments in the related fields
- Experience in using high performance computing and storage systems
- ** Must have industry experience outside of academia.
- Experience in Illumina sequencing data and bioinformatics Next Generation Sequencing pipelines
